Enable Hibernate in Windows 7
- Generally in windows 7, hibernation is disabled after installed the operating system. This is the way to Enable the hibernation in Windows 7.
- Click on start and type and search " cmd ".
- Right click on 'cmd' and select " Run as Administrator "
- And then type on cmd " powercfg -h on " , and then Enter
- After that right click on desktop and select Personalize.
- Then click on Screen Saver.
- And click on " Change Power Setting "
- Select " Change When the Computer Sleeps " and click on " Change Advanced Power Settings "
- You can see Drop down menu called " Sleep " click it and select " Allow Hybrid Sleep ". Set the " ON " to " OFF ". And then Apply.
- And you can see there " Hibernate" too. You can keep the value as " Never " or You can give a time to Hibernate automatically.
- Then Apply and OK.
- Now you can see " Hibernate " under shutdown menu..
