Enable Hibernate in Windows 7

  • Generally in windows 7, hibernation is disabled after installed the operating system. This is the way to Enable the hibernation in Windows 7.
  1. Click on start and type and search " cmd ".
  2. Right click on 'cmd'  and select " Run as Administrator "
  3. And then type on cmd " powercfg -h on " , and then Enter
  4. After that right click on desktop and select Personalize.
  5. Then click on Screen Saver.
  6. And click on " Change Power Setting "
  7. Select " Change When the Computer Sleeps " and click on " Change Advanced Power Settings "
  8. You can see Drop down menu called " Sleep " click it and select " Allow Hybrid Sleep ".  Set the " ON " to " OFF ". And then Apply.
  9. And you can see there " Hibernate" too. You can keep the value as " Never " or You can give a time to Hibernate automatically.
  10. Then Apply and OK.
  11. Now you can see " Hibernate " under shutdown menu..
